After my cochlear implant Tanya helped me through the process of learning how to hear again. She has always been kind, patient, knowledgeable and I have complete confidence in her ability to adjust my processor.

Hearing Aid Services

Whether your hearing aids were fit by us or another provider, we are here to support your hearing needs. We provide hearing aid consultations, adjustments, repairs and more. If you’re not currently wearing hearing aids, we’ll take you step by step through the process. Starting with a hearing evaluation and hearing aid needs assessment, we’ll help find the right hearing aid for you and fit it using best practices. If you’re already wearing hearing aids, we will make sure they are appropriately fit using the same methods. Hearing aids require routine cleaning to continue to work appropriately. We will be here for you from the initial appointment and any time you need us in the future.

Cochlear Implant Services

When hearing aids are no longer “enough” to meet your hearing needs a cochlear implant may be the next step to help you hear and understand speech better. Our audiologists have over 30 years of combined experience working with cochlear implants. They are highly trained in evaluating your speech understanding abilities with your hearing aids and recognizing when you may be a cochlear implant candidate. If you are a candidate they will make an appropriate referral to a neurotologist or ear, nose and throat (ENT) physician for a surgical consultation. After the surgery you will return to our audiologists for the initial activation and follow up programming.

Custom Hearing Protection and Custom Earmolds

Hearing Protection

At Midwest Audiology, we also emphasize prevention of hearing loss. If you are around very loud noise levels (85 dBA and above), custom earplugs are a comfortable, long-lasting solution offering much higher audio quality than typical over-the-counter hearing protection. These provide an excellent choice for musicians, hunters, individuals working with machinery, dentists, attendees of concerts and sporting events.

Sleep Molds

Need it quiet when you sleep? Custom fit sleep molds are designed to promote comfortable and uninterrupted rest.

Swim Plugs

To prevent moisture from entering the ear canal a custom swim plug may be a great option. They are optimal for swimming, watersports and showering to prevent infection.
