Doctor of Audiology and Co-Founder
One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is getting to know my patients and their families. Creating lasting relationships throughout their hearing loss journey and witnessing their progress over time brings great satisfaction.
Dr. Beecher attended the University of Iowa, earning her BA degree in Speech and Hearing Science in 2003. She then attended the University of Utah, earning her Doctorate of Audiology (Au.D.) degree in 2008.
Dr. Beecher began her career in Minnesota at Midwest ENT Specialists in 2008. In 2013, Dr. Beecher returned to Iowa to join the world-renowned cochlear implant team at The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics (UIHC). While at UIHC, Dr. Beecher worked with patients of all ages evaluating hearing loss and helping them hear better through the use of hearing aids and cochlear implants. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Beecher worked on numerous federally funded and manufacturer funded research studies; including but not limited to cochlear implantation in patients with single sided deafness, cochlear implantation with the goal of hearing preservation (aka electro-acoustic (EAS)/hybrid hearing) and robotic assisted cochlear implantation (iotaMotion).
Dr. Beecher is committed to improving the lives of her patients. She has seen firsthand the hardship and isolation that living with hearing loss can create. Her goal is to help her patients get back to enjoying their family, friends, and activities they love. She strives to cultivate a professional and trusting relationship with her patients.
Dr. Beecher is married to her husband Nick and has three sons, Wesley, Wyatt and William. Dr. Beecher enjoys traveling, reading and spending time outdoors (snow skiing, fishing, boating) with her family.
